I'm so happy with this recipe, I've blogged it here:
http://crunchworthy.blogspot.com.au/
But thought the lovely Forum could do with the addition too :)
Gluten Free PlayDoh:
500grams Bicarb Soda
200grams Cornflour
380grams Water
30grams Oil
1 tsp Cream of Tarter
Coloring of choice
Scent of choice
Add all ingredients, except cream of tarter.
Set 8 minutes, speed 3, 80 degrees.
Once it's stirring, add in the Tarter.
Let it do it's thing. When it's finished, check consistency, add more oil or cornflour, remembering it will dry out as it cools.
Knead for 3 minutes.
Tip out, let cool, and get crafting!

Thanks Lee. Does playdough have to be GF because kids actually eat it :o :o

Some kids have contact allergies - one at kindy gets awful excema :(
And depending on the age group, yes they do eat it - mine weren't too bad, but I know one little boy who tastes everything - playdough, paint, glue... And not just once or twice...
Kindy makes it with rice flour, and it looks SO white. Really nice.

I used to think th same judy, why would you need it gluten free, they don't eat it!
But now, with a 16mo with a wheat allergy, there is no way I'd let her near regular play doh, she may eat it, it may be left on her hands afterwards, might be dropped.
Now I get it lol.

Yes you can see the reason once it is explained to you, some kids will eat anything ;D
