What have you been doing today?

We had to take budgie back to the vet today. She has had to stay in hospital. Poor thing has a mass in her stomach and another infection. The infection is being treated first.  Hopefully we can pick her up late tomorrow afternoon.  The house is so very quiet.

This afternoon I did my grocery shopping.

Cookie, poor Budgie.  At least you have a vet who deals with birds. I can remember sitting at a vets with a chook on my lap . I was told there were few vets who treated birds. The dogs were very interested.
Today, Dr for some catchup injections and afternoon tea with Probus.

I did the supermarket shopping this morning.  Then went to the shoe shop and bought myself a pair of slippers, I couldn't find them when I came home so rang the next shop I went to and I had left them on the counter.  DH kindly went back and collected them for me.

We were told to pick up Pickle (the budgie) at 6 tonight. They were feeding her 2 hourly.  She has 2 lots of medicine to take now. One lot is a stronger antibiotic and I’ve forgotten what DD said the other was. She has to go back to the vet next Friday. 
We are lucky this vet is an Avian vet.

Gym and then garden.

First up helped set up for our local hospital market this morning. Then on to DGF to make produce for tomorrow!! Two batches of sausage rolls .. each batch used 6 pastry sheets . Then put in takeaway plastic containers think there was 12 containers full . Slices next ; two chocolate fudge slices ,I caramel slice topped with melted chocolate , 1 ginger slice iced , 1 apricot slice white chocolate iced . It took all day and DGF still had to make a batch of chicken filling for 3 loves of bread . And a few other things , lucky another helping hand came to the rescue. We have also made awhile ago about 23 jars of onion jam and not me but another helper , they made a relish 23 jars . Think we may have dine enough. Ready to go tomorrow selling raffle tickets.

You have been busy KAtie. DD and I went shopping and for coffee this morning. It’s a long weekend here.

I've been sorting out the linen cupboard today.  Some excess items will go to the op shop.

Went to Bendigo with DD to pick up a boat. Stopped at Daylesford for coffee. A trendy shop was having a sale and I bought a blouse. Had lunch at an organic cafe. Very long boat was pulled home on long trailer. DD very good driver .
Today more gardening. Pulling out spent bean and zucchini plants. Not much grows in Ballarat through Autumn and winter.

Another busy day done . Market day ,We maned a slushie bike with frozen fruit .. a bit of practice and alot of adjustments to get the the blenders going , semi frozen fruit and juice was the magic option . The little kids loved peddling to get a slushie then smoothies . DH came to the rescue with tropical juice to get it working the best . Nearly our cooking produces sold bar a few zucchini relish and onion jam( we will enjoy those ) . I left and pack up time after mostly cleaned up to get to town for a lot of appointments tomorrow! Podiatrist, bloods, GP and a crown at the dentist . Hopefully catching up with DD as well !!

Yes crazy days . Today I managed to fit in having breakfast and lunch with DD . As well as all appointments. But dentist was not fun , but all good .

AGM of our Probus group today. Few odd jobs.
