Great to hear from Judy, Chookie.

Down to the green grocers on the dot of 7.00 am this morning to get fruit and veges for the next few days.  It was nice and empty so I was able to amble around without any hassles.

We close for the year in 2 hour's time - it has been deadly quiet in the shop today so the time is dragging, but I am managing to catch up on some bookwork so I guess coping with a quiet shop isn't all bad.

Chookie, how nice to hear from Judy.  I'm pleased that she is able to eat the food without any problems

Marina, we did the grocery and vegetable shopping yesterday and picked up the Christmas meat.  The town was just starting to get busy when we were coming home.  DS went down later in the day and said it was very busy.

I’ve been tidying up and set up the Christmas dinning table, looks good . Wrapped a few presents . Don’t think the boys have been shopping so made a few for them to give me . Boys are hard at it taking the wheat off . They’re quite close to one of the firers . Tomorrow will be interesting as they prepare for Boxing Day weather.

Set the dinning table for Christmas. Wrapped a few parcels to put under the tree. Prepared some of the vegetables as well . Went to Christmas Eve service . While the boys harvested the wheat . The fire is quite close to where they are harvesting, so there is a need to get as much off tonight as possible. No harvest for two days . It’s an unwritten law no harvesting on Christmas Day as if they started a fire you would spoil someone’s day . Have a Happy Christmas everyone and stay safe . Thinking of your DD Chookie at Creswick .

Friend and I were glad to get out of Ballarat and head for Creswick. We collected the ordered  pastries and bought a few more. We sat in the shop window and drank our coffee and watched the world go by.
Back home I started to set the table for Xmas day. I love a beautiful table setting. GS helped shift the furniture around. He has organized some indoor games for Xmas afternoon. Prizes and all.
Visited neighbours with Xmas presents and stayed for Dinner.
A very Merry Xmas to all you lovely ladies. Enjoy the company of family and friends. Look forward to a fulfilling new year.

Today has is relentless . Fires in every direction. Men out protecting us and others . Wind gusting all day . The fire radio has been going for over a week. DH assured me we are ok but .. I have made dinner early so if power goes out  . Just not sure that with the winds planes can fly . Do up to all on ground. Keeping calm as I can .

KAtie, what a frightful day. Watching weather maps. Feel for you.
We had our small family Xmas day celebration today. Went well. Only 10 of our immediate family. GS organized Xmas Olympics. Kiddy games inside. We all took part. Lots of cheering and yelling.

Marina Judy’s Facebook page is her name. Or you can check the Forum Fun Facebook page, she put a couple of photos up there too.

I hope everyone has had a pleasant Christmas celebration. KAtie it must be hard for you. Take care.
My brother and his wife came for lunch today. Her Parkinson’s marches relentlessly on. Not fun for her or my brother.

Oh Cookie , sad.
We should enjoy everyday to the maximum.
Lots of washing today.
GD crochet a shopping bag for me. It is a chook. I’m going shopping tomorrow to show it off. I think I will get some funny looks and comments.

Cookie that’s sad . Chookie sounds like a fun day had with your family. Think we all need to see the crochet chook bag !!
Well late last night I realised it was Boxing Day and it felt like forever that it was Christmas. The whole day was a nightmare on steroids. At one stage the house shook there was not way to see out side the wind was extreme. Then DH rang to say our other farm was burning and we were going to loose the lot house sheds crop . Amazingly about half burnt but house sheds saved pine trees on fire ( not able to put out as live wires above ) DH DS and one other were there the front came through, so lucky they all new what to do .. no firemen , think they were chasing the front and dealt with that . Fires were everywhere. Get out katie now ! So I ran like a mad woman there everything in the fridge into esky’s chucked remaining bags into car . To the town property to go to the wool shed ( that’s our safe spot ) poor DS said nothing is safe , but I was ok . It was like an apocalypse . We are ok . Boys came home late to eat dinner and regroup. They had to go back to check property heaps of firemen out there so so many . It’s going to be a huge week of more again . Oh and there was lightning last night too . I was lucky I had my DH DS and DGF ( who is closer to the mountains) all contacting each other all day night , to make sure we knew what was happening.
