The marmalade looks very professional CC. It would last an eternity here as I don't really enjoy it and DH doesn't eat jam. I do buyu some occasionally to throw into a cake.
Thanks girls.I thought the labels were fun too.
Cookie I give at least half of my marmalade away to family and friends.

No cooking here after all. It's too hot.

Made a loaf of Paleo Bread. Not vegan as it has 6 eggs (my eggs were from a backyard chook person).
Wouldn't make a sandwich out of it but it tastes good. Next time I would leave out the salt.

Great marmalade CC. I love the labels too.
It's a pity we all don't live close to each other. We could have our own farmers swap market. That would be fun.

I agree!  There are so many wonderful cooks and gardeners on this forum we could do a roaring trade in swapping our produce, and it would be so much fun!  I swapped some produce today for the first time through a local produce swap Facebook page.  I traded beans, berries, cucumbers and lemon myrtle and kafir lime leaves for 6kg of gorgeous plums.  The lady who came to swap ended up chatting with DH for ages about how he grows the raspberries, and she is coming back for more gardening tips and some raspberry canes from him.

That is swapping knowledge as well as produce, brilliant Karen. I think if we could do a produce swap we would have to have a roster for Chookie's goodies.

I've made Orange Squash and with the leftover pulp some Fruit Spread (like marmalade), both recipes from the UK Everyday Book.

I was given a few dozen nectarines yesterday so have made a recipe from the forum, Steamed Custard in Nectarines.  I think I'll let them cool before trying one and then give a review.

Yum, I love the sound of the steamed custard  in nectarines. Fruit and custard in another way.

I really love this about Facebook.  It's like the old fashioned word of mouth but with a larger community. I recently spent $20 on 3 kiwi knives, love them, recommended in a FB thread. And have lovely soft feet from a product calked Milky foot same source.  Well done Karen and Chookie, I love it. Back to the spirit of the village.

I have finally got through the 5kg of blueberries we picked on Monday. We have 2 doz muffins, blueberry and almond tart (from recipe community), and loads of jam. Plus a container of berries in the freezer for future use.

Jo I wish I lived close to you. They look so nice.

Bedlam where do you get Milky Foot from please, I have trouble with my feet getting dry during summer.
I have made a batch of cookies this morning. I mucked around with the recipe quite a bit. They are a raisin cookie but I used molasses sugar in them for a different taste. If they get the tick of approval I will put the recipe up.
