It is amazing what I’m eating whilst here K Atie, my family knew if anyone could help me it would be Chookie. Tonight she had a visitor so made a shepherds pie with the lamb she slow cooked yesterday, minced it in the TMX, mixed it with her delicious gravy and covered it with mashed potatoes. Veg - carrots, green beans and cauli covered in the leftover fish creamy garlic lemon sauce from Sunday’s lunch. I surprised myself by having a bit of everything and it was more than I usually eat. Dessert was a banana fritter, my girls couldn’t believe I ate that, neither could I but it was delicious.

Judy that is such exciting news.
I had book club tonight so we had thin steak cooked slowly with onion. Cauliflower and broccoli cheese and potatoes.

That is fabulous news Judy. Your family was right, Chookie has definitely given you a huge boost. It is so exciting to see how you are enjoying all the different meals. Very well done Chookie, you are an amazing and caring friend.

We're having Chicken in Puff Pastry. It is a Polish dish from Cookidoo. I have just learnt how to use Google translate. I'm slow at it but I can now try some recipes that look interesting.

I had a play around with the TM6 today, very impressed with what I saw. Mmm, do I want one - yes. Do I need one - probably not.

Judy it is good the TM6 . Don’t know how they could improve it , but the deal on at the moment is very good with extra bowl . Infact I was talking to Cookidoo THERMOMIX person on the phone about how to upgrade Cookidoo membership. Anyway , I asked the big Q regarding a new model . He said he been there 10 years and this year it was said that they wouldn’t be up grading it THIS YEAR , fist time they have said that he said , but he was 50/50 about it . I only mentioned it as they have had two deals this year for trade in of TM31 and TM5 - no trade in you keep it . That would not stop me from getting a TM6 now though as there is always talk regarding new models .
Oops for dinner we had chicken Kiev!

Last night Judy and I had soup and pancakes for dinner. The soup was cauliflower, zucchini and potato with chicken stock and garlic croutons. The pancakes were with added roasted banana, maple syrup and ice cream. Judy is very brave and tries all the experiments I come up with. We work well together in the kitchen. This is our last full day before DD and I drive her to the Airport, I will be sad to see her go.

It sounds as if you and Judy have had a wonderful time, both in and out of the kitchen! I am sure you will miss her when she heads back home.

Mushroom and spinach risotto from Cookidoo . It was nice added coriander to it and used verjuice and bacon . The bacon made it salty so added a good squeeze of lemon juice. But it used the high heat so it made the mushrooms yummy . Strange procedure but it turned out well . In fact I’d use it again .
