I got mine in KMart Marina. It was $15 I think. Actually DD bought it for me.

My little Waffle iron is bright pink and was bought at Harris Scarfe, $18. I’m surprised at how well it cooks as I have had several large ones and not all good. I think Amazon also sell them.

Purchased a copy of Ellen Babauskis / Alyce Alexandra's 'Thermo Plant Based' book.  I have so many books it's nuts, but I specifically wanted this one as it is locally written therefore the ingredients are pretty local and hopefully easily obtainable, as well.  Looking forward to some inspiration over the Christmas break.

Opps, bought Tony Tan’s new cook book. Has some unusual Asian type recipes. Also a puzzle book. Agatha Christie puzzle book. 100 different mind teasing puzzles. Thought I’d do one a day. Collins Book shop in Ballarat is pretty good.

A book on Fermenting jumped into my hand as I was looking around.

A lot of books seem to do that Chookie.  I seem to have a similar problem. 😀😀😀😀

Today I bought a K’A’RCHER window vac, not cheap so it had better be good. Waiting for a cooler day to try it out. Can’t post a picture as somehow I’ve lost the ability to be able to reduce the size of my pictures these days.

I hope so Chookie. Had no idea how to follow the instructions to put it together but I treated it like a jigsaw puzzle and if a part fitted then that’s where it must go! Not a good idea to start this process at 10 pm though.

After seeing Chookie's  K’A’RCHER cleaner several years ago I also bought a similar one.  They are very good - I still need to wipe the window edges at the end, but they do a good job and are fast.  Hope you manage to fit the bits and pieces of yours together successfully, Judy!

Yes it worked well Marina, still time consuming but the finish is 100% better than any of my  attempts to wash them before, I did add 2 additional steps that were not in the directions though. I  read the reviews and some said they still ended up with streaks so I decided I’d squirt each panel down with the hose to get rid of any dust before using the cleaning bit, obviously the outsides only. I just squirted the insides with a water bottle sprayer. After using the window vac on the clean window I followed it up with a glass cleaning cloth and they were perfect. It was a hot day here so I could only do the windows out the back under the pergola as the sun doesn’t hit them.

Had to buy a new pair of shoes today.  I am continuing to have trouble with the foot which had the operation last May - the podiatrist who works with my surgeon is pretty sure it is a bursar problem and, although the (EXPENSIVE) Hoka shoes I bought a year or so ago are good, they are not supporting the part of my foot that needs help - so off to Athlete's Foot and another pair of Hoka shoes.  Fingers crossed that this will work out.  If this doesn't help I think I will have to - reluctantly - concede to getting a cortisone injection before we go away later in the year.
